First of all, deserving a huge respect and appreciation will be the captain of the ship, Vikram Kumar. Hats off to him for giving the experience of a different ride in the name "24". While the screenplay of the time travel scenes kept the audience upbeat, there were some scenes which disturbed the essence of the movie as well. Most of them were the scenes that involved Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who played the role of Sathyabama.
Yes, the gorgeous looking Chennai girl, who never stops to amaze people with her flaunting beauty,
had a few of the audiences go "uffff" "grrrr" in theaters amidst the fiery screenplay of the movie. Never taking away her acting skills and the beauty out of the equation, still this characterization needed a bit of thinking.
I know there would be few scripts which would be demanding in spite of the less weightage of your role. But in this particular regard of 24, it felt horrible because of the brilliance of other time travel scenes. If she had chosen the same kinda role in a full fledged Romedy, the critics would have been way lesser.
As a die hard fan of Samantha and a fellow Pallavaram boy, I would take a deep gulp to criticize Samantha for the choice of script which hardly had any connection with the story. In fact, to be honest, it only let down the strong essence of the movie.
As a cricket lover, 24 movie was like a batsman got a full toss which could have been hit out of the ground, but he edged it past thirdman for a 4. He got 4 nonetheless, but still 2 runs could have been priceless.
I kindly suggest to her, as a fan, to choose better scripts that has more importance to the role which in turn could only enhance her fan following.
